Yiannis Papageorgiou was born I Thessalonika Greece in 1942. He is a self taught artist and has been painting since childhood.
His creative pursuits commenced prematurely whilst trying to prove to his sibling sister that his painting skills were far superior to hers. It initiated as a light -- hearted joke developed into his lifelong passion.
Yiannis enjoys experimenting with a variety of mediums and techniques, all of which are inspired by nature and its surroundings. He is especially drawn to violent windstorms and tempest at sea.
This exhibition is his first and a dream of a lifetime which includes his most representative selection of life -- long work during the last 40 years.

Βιογραφικό Σημείωμα

Ο Γιάννης Παπαγεωργίου γεννήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη το 1942. Είναι αυτοδίδακτος Ζωγράφος και ασχολείται με την ζωγραφική από την παιδική του ηλικία. Του αρέσει να πειραματίζεται με διάφορες τεχνικές και mediums. Τα θέματά του τα δανείζεται από την φύση και το περιβάλλον.
Η Εκθεση αυτή είναι η πρώτη του και το όνειρο μιάς ολόκληρης ζωής. Τα εκτιθέμενα έργα του είναι μία αναδρομή σαράντα χρόνων στο παρελθόν
